Satisfied with the performance of Rome, Garcia Want Consistency
Rotterdam – AS Roma successfully passed the last 32 of the Europa League after a win at home to Feyenoord. Roma coach Rudi Garcia, said he was satisfied with his team’s performance. But, he also wants his team to be consistent.
Roma overcome the resistance of Feyenoord in the second leg of the Europa League round of 32 at De Kuip, Friday (27/02/2015) pm dawn. Giallorossi a 2-1 win over the host team.
Two goals were created by Adem Ljajic Rome and Gervinho, while Feyenoord created a goal back in the name of Elvis Manu.
This victory Rome passed round to the knock-out phase. They excel with an aggregate score of 3-2 over Feyenoord after the first meeting that was held at the Olimpico ending 1-1.
“We deserved to win. Coming to the Netherlands and the victory is difficult, but we were unable to do so because of the style of our game,” said Garcia told Mediaset.
“The players give all they have, performed with intensity and hunger on the field. We worked well as a direct scored after they equalized even after that we survive too deep,” he added.
“I commend the players because they follow our game plan. We won here since back in the style of play of Rome,” said Garcia.
Rome did not reach peak performance since the turn of the year. Throughout 2015, they had four wins in 12 games. The rest, they were seven draws and one defeat.
“Is this the turning point of our season? We’ll see. I’m satisfied with the performance of the players. Now we need to find the right consistency,” said Garcia.
Rome next will play an important match in Serie A. I Lupi will face their rivals in the hunt for the Scudetto, Juventus, at the Olimpico, Monday (03/02/2015) future.
